The Life We Knew Part 44

     You wrap your arms around Jake. "For someone as quiet as you, you sure talk a lot," you say.
     "Haha. So you'll..."
     "Yes. Consider me your girlfriend." You smile. Jake smile back and wraps his arms around you. The two of you stay like that for a couple of moments.

*Next morning*
     Jake is shaking you awake. "C'mon Natalie. Time to eat." You get up. It seems you feel asleep during watch yesterday. Good thing Jake was awake. You yawn.
     "Good morning," you say.
     "Good morning," he says back. He hands you an apple. "Eat up," he says with a smile. You grab the apple and start eating. You look around you. Dane is doing his "remembering" activity so he knows everything again. Mason is just sitting down and tapping his fingers aganist the floor. It seems like Monica, Fara, and Dan are asleep. "I'm gonna' wake up the others."
     "Alright," you say. Jake heads off to wake the others up. You finish your apple and walk over to Mason.
     "Mornin' Natalie," he says.
     "Good morning Mason," you say back.
     "Got any plans for today?"
     "None yet. Maybe scope out the area and decide from there."
     "Sounds good."

*A small while later*
     The whole team sits around in a circle. "So do we have any ideas how to not waste today?", Dane asks.
     "Natalie said it would be a good idea to scope out the area," Mason says.
     "This place is pretty solid. Maybe we could stay here a while?", Monica suggests.
     "That all depends. This area may seem safe, but that could change at any given moment," Jake answers.
     "So we have some people scope the area and some stay behind?", Dane asks.
     "Yup," you say.

*A few moments later*
     "Alright it's settled. Jake, Natelie, and Mason go scope out the area. I'll stay here with Monica, Fara, and Dan," Dane says.
     "Understood," Jake says. You ho to grab your gear. Once the three of you are ready, you head out the warehouse doors. You look around. Crisp autumn leaves slowly make their descent towards the ground. You've been realizing it's been getting colder the last couple of days. A long road connects the warehouse to hopefully civilization. Time to start walking.

*About 10-15 minutes later*
     You finally found some buildings. This area seemed to be your average place where people would be coming and going. There's a diner, a car dealership, a gas station, and a pharmacy. Now the only question is, what do you go into first?
